Grainne Whalley appointed Managing Director of TCC

Traditional Cheese Company (TCC) are pleased to announce the promotion of Grainne Whalley to the position of Managing Director. Grainne, who replaces Eugene Carr in this position, has been with TCC for 30 years. During this time, she has held many positions, establishing her expertise within the cheese industry both in Ireland and across Europe. Grainne has judged at International cheese events for the past 20 years including the honour of judging the supreme cheese classes for a number of years.

Eugene Carr will take up the position of Chairman within the company which he established in 1984. He was motivated to set up TCC as the Irish Farmhouse cheese industry began to take off in the early 1980s. Eugene worked closely with the first generation of farm producers, introducing a range of cheese types and flavours to the general Irish market and also penetrating the UK market.

Traditional Cheese Company is a privately owned 100% Irish Company specialising in the promotion and distribution of a full range of Irish and Continental cheese. With its head office in Western Industrial Estate in Dublin, the company currently employs 60 staff between its three locations in Dublin, Galway and Cork.
